Subject: Announcement of Special Awards and Winners for CVYAMC 2024

Dear winners and families,

Congratulations once again! We want to thank you for your continued patience and participation in our competition. 

After an extensive meeting of the CVYAMC 2024 judging committee, we are pleased to announce the special awards attached in this email. Despite the many talented participants, the special prize results were determined based on several criteria: perfection, proficiency, professionalism, technique, interpretation skills, and talent, as decided by our CVYAMC 2024 committee. Let’s give a big round of applause to the Special Prize winners and the other gold - bronze prize winners! 

Yonah Martin (Grand Prize) - Senator Award with the opportunity to perform with PMYSO in 2025.

• Jiwoo Ahn (ARCT / Flute)

Stella Park - PMYSO Artistic Director Award with the opportunity to perform with PMYSO in 2025.

• Jiwon Kim (RCM 10 / Violin)

Bonita Zerrillo - MP for Port Moody Award with a winner's concert opportunity on December 21, 2024.

• Warren Liu (RCM 10 / Piano)

Anne Kang - MLA Burnaby Award with a winner's concert opportunity on December 21, 2024.

• Daniel Byeong Gwon Seo (RCM 7 / Trumpet)

Steve Kim - City Councillor Coquitlam Award with a winner's concert opportunity on December 21, 2024.

• Jung-Hyun Yeom (RCM 7 / Violin)

We are delighted to inform you that our special 3rd - 5th winners will have the chance to perform one piece during the prize ceremony, scheduled for December 21, 2024. Furthermore, we are honored to share that the awards will be presented directly to you by respected politicians during the ceremony. Your presence at this significant event is essential, so please ensure that you are available and prepared for your performance.
